Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response

WRI is deeply committed to addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through comprehensive prevention and response initiatives. Our GBV program aims to protect women and girls from violence, including domestic abuse, sexual assault, and harmful traditional practices. We offer community education campaigns to raise awareness of the causes and consequences of GBV, challenging harmful gender norms and fostering environments where violence is not tolerated.

In addition to prevention efforts, WRI provides direct support to survivors of GBV, offering access to safe spaces, counseling, legal assistance, and medical care. Our program also trains local service providers, such as healthcare workers and law enforcement, to improve the quality and sensitivity of GBV response services. Through a holistic approach, we strive to break the cycle of violence and ensure that survivors receive the support they need to heal and rebuild their lives.
