Harmful Practices Prevention

This program is dedicated to combating early and forced marriages, as well as female genital mutilation (FGM), through community-focused awareness campaigns. By educating families, local leaders, and youth about the harmful physical and psychological impacts of these practices, the program aims to protect the rights and well-being of women and girls. A key focus is also on promoting the importance of girls’ education as a powerful tool for empowerment and breaking the cycle of harmful traditions.

The program works to foster community-driven change by engaging religious leaders, elders, and local influencers to challenge cultural norms that perpetuate these practices. Through dialogue and advocacy, the initiative encourages alternative solutions that safeguard girls’ dignity and future opportunities. The goal is to create environments where girls are free from harmful practices and have the resources to pursue education and thrive as equal members of society.
